Camera Access and AI Processing

When you use our receipt scanning feature, we may request access to your device's camera with your explicit permission. Here's how we handle this:

Camera Usage:

  • Camera access is used solely for capturing receipt images
  • Images are processed locally on your device or sent to our AI processing service for text extraction
  • Receipt images are NOT stored permanently on our servers or your device
  • Images are processed temporarily and automatically deleted after data extraction

AI Data Processing:

  • Receipt images are analyzed using artificial intelligence to extract transaction details (merchant name, amount, date, items)
  • This processing helps automatically categorize and record your expenses
  • Only the extracted text data (not the image) is saved to your account
  • AI processing may be performed by third-party AI providers. Images are deleted from our systems immediately after processing. Our AI provider may retain submitted data for a short period (typically up to 30 days) solely for abuse and safety monitoring, and does not use it to train AI models
  • We do not use your receipt images or extracted data to train AI models

Your Control:

  • Camera access requires your explicit permission
  • You can revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings
  • Receipt scanning is an optional feature - you can manually enter transaction data instead

  • Documents are NOT stored permanently on our servers
  • Files are automatically deleted from our systems immediately after AI processing is complete
  • We do not retain copies of your bank statements or financial documents

AI Data Processing:

  • This processing helps automatically import and categorize your financial transactions
  • Only the extracted transaction data (not the document) is saved to your account
  • AI processing may be performed by third-party AI providers. Documents are deleted from our systems immediately after processing. Our AI provider may retain submitted data for a short period (typically up to 30 days) solely for abuse and safety monitoring, and does not use it to train AI models
  • We do not use your bank statements or extracted data to train AI models

Security and Privacy:

  • All document uploads are encrypted during transmission
  • Processing occurs in secure, isolated environments
  • No human personnel have access to your uploaded documents
  • Your financial documents are never shared with third parties beyond AI processing services

Your Control:

  • Bank statement upload is entirely optional

Privacy Policies:

8. Crash Reports and Usage Analytics

In the Application

We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics, both operated by Google, to find crashes and to learn which features are used. On iOS, macOS and Android the Application may send Google:

  • Crash logs and stack traces
  • Device model, operating system version and app version
  • Your approximate location (country and city), derived from your IP address
  • A random Firebase installation ID that is not linked to your name or email
  • Anonymous usage events, such as "onboarding completed", "transaction added", "paywall shown" and "subscription purchased"

The Application never sends your transactions, amounts, categories, wallet names, name or email to Firebase. We do not collect advertising identifiers.

Your Control:

  • You can turn this off at any time in the Application under Settings > Privacy & Security > "Share anonymous usage statistics"
  • The web, Windows and Linux versions of the Application do not include Firebase

Google retains analytics data for up to 14 months and crash data for 90 days.

On the Website

The Website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. For each page view it records the page URL, the referring site, your approximate location (country and city), device type, operating system and browser. It uses no cookies and does not store your IP address. Visitors are told apart only by a hash that is discarded after 24 hours, so you cannot be recognised across days.
