• Device means any device that can access the Service.
• Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• Service refers to the Application or the Website or both.
• Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company.
• Third-party Social Media Service refers to any website or social network website through which a User can log in.
• Usage Data refers to data collected automatically from the Service.

• Camera access is used solely for capturing receipt images
• Images are processed locally on your device or sent to our AI processing service for text extraction
• Receipt images are NOT stored permanently on our servers or your device
• Images are processed temporarily and automatically deleted after data extraction

AI Data Processing:

• Receipt images are analyzed using artificial intelligence to extract transaction details (merchant name, amount, date, items)
• This processing helps automatically categorize and record your expenses
• Only the extracted text data (not the image) is saved to your account
• AI processing may be performed by third-party services, but images are deleted immediately after processing

Your Control:

• Camera access requires your explicit permission
• You can revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings
• Receipt scanning is an optional feature - you can manually enter transaction data instead

Bank Statement Upload and AI Processing

When you use our bank statement import feature, you may upload bank statements or financial documents for automatic transaction parsing:

Document Upload:

• Bank statements and financial documents are uploaded temporarily for processing only
• Documents are NOT stored permanently on our servers
• Files are automatically deleted immediately after AI processing is complete
• We do not retain copies of your bank statements or financial documents

AI Data Processing:

• Bank statements are analyzed using artificial intelligence to extract transaction data (dates, amounts, descriptions, categories)
• This processing helps automatically import and categorize your financial transactions
• Only the extracted transaction data (not the document) is saved to your account
• AI processing may involve third-party services, but documents are deleted immediately after processing

Security and Privacy:

• All document uploads are encrypted during transmission
• Processing occurs in secure, isolated environments
• No human personnel have access to your uploaded documents
• Your financial documents are never shared with third parties beyond AI processing services

Your Control:

• Bank statement upload is entirely optional
• You can manually enter transaction data instead of uploading documents
• You have full control over what documents you choose to upload

Use of Data

8udget uses the collected data for various purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To notify you about changes to our Service
• To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service
• To provide customer care and support
• To provide analysis or valuable information to improve the Service
• To monitor the usage of the Service
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues
• To process receipt images using AI technology for automatic expense tracking (images are not stored)
• To process uploaded bank statements and financial documents using AI technology for automatic transaction import (documents are not stored)

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

8udget will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
